A mobile notary appointment saves you a trip across town: I meet you at an agreed location in Whatcom County, whether that is a home, office, hospital, care facility, or another suitable place. A few details before I travel can help the visit run smoothly.

Your 7-point appointment checklist
- Confirm who needs to sign. Make sure every person whose signature needs notarization can be present for the appointment. If the document has multiple signers, share that when requesting a quote.
- Have identification ready. Keep each signer’s current government-issued photo ID available. Washington recognizes other identification methods in some circumstances; if someone does not have standard ID, tell me before the appointment so I can review the situation. See the Washington Department of Licensing identification guide.
- Bring the complete document. Check that you have every page and any instructions from the document recipient. I can notarize a signature when the legal requirements are met, but I cannot draft the document or advise what it means.
- Ask the document recipient about the notarial act. If the form does not clearly say what notarization is required, contact the organization or the attorney who prepared it. I cannot choose a certificate or legal wording for you.
- Ask whether witnesses are needed. Some documents require witnesses in addition to notarization. Confirm the requirement with the document preparer or recipient and arrange any needed witnesses ahead of time.
- Choose an accessible meeting spot. Share the exact location, parking or gate instructions, and any access details I need to reach you. For private details, call or text rather than sending ID or document images through the website form.
- Confirm the timing and quote. Tell me the preferred day, time, city, and general service needed. I will confirm availability and any mobile travel fee before booking.
A note about signatures
If you have not signed yet, wait until you have checked the document’s instructions. Some documents must be signed in front of the notary; others may allow a signer to acknowledge a signature already made. If it is already signed, let me know before the appointment and confirm the required act with the document recipient.
