Important Requirements for the Signer
A hospital or care facility setting does not change the basic requirements for notarization. Before scheduling, please make sure the signer is able to take part in the appointment.
If you are unsure whether the signer can complete the appointment, call or text before scheduling. I can explain what I will need from the signer before making the trip.
What to Have Ready
Have the document available. Do not sign a signature that needs to be notarized ahead of time unless you have been instructed to do so.
Have the signer’s identification available before I arrive.
Please make sure the signer is awake, available, and ready to participate.
Some documents require witnesses in addition to a notary. Check with the document provider if you are unsure.

Hospital appointments are available throughout my service area as long as the signer can participate in the notarization and the other requirements can be met.
Can you visit assisted living or nursing facilities?
I provide mobile appointments at assisted living communities, nursing facilities, rehab centers, adult family homes, and similar care settings.
What if the signer has difficulty communicating?
I must be able to communicate with the signer well enough to complete the notarization. If you are unsure whether an appointment can proceed, contact me before scheduling.
Do you offer urgent or same-day appointments?
Same-day service is sometimes available. Calling or texting is the fastest way to check my current schedule.
Can a family member sign for the patient?
That depends on the document and whether the person already has legal authority to sign. I cannot determine signing authority or provide legal advice.
